Manufaktura, opened on May 17, 2006, is a shopping, service and entertainment complex with an area of 270000 m2. It was built on the premises of the former factory complex of Izrael Poznański, one of the largest manufacturers in Łódź. The reconstructed part of the former factory maintains the former atmosphere of the place, perfectly matching the idea of revitalization of the city. For a long time Manufaktura had remained one of the largest such facilities in Poland and Eastern Europe.
